Poakeart is survived by his wife, Mary Poakeart of Valhalla; children, Judi Mele of Valhalla, George, Jr. Poakeart of White Plains and John Poakeart of Frisco, Texas.; sister, Pat Gagliano; brother, Charles Poakeart both of L.I.; and two grandchildren.
