WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. While some Westchester residents started their holiday shopping early on Thanksgiving night , others waited until the traditional starting day for holiday shopping, Black Friday, to hit up Westchester's major malls for the biggest sales. The Westchester in White Plains opened at 7 a.m. offering bargains on big brand names, with stores like The GAP offering 50 percent off.
