Feds determine preliminary cause in New York commuter train crash

MTA Chairman and CEO Thomas Prendergast and Metro-North President Joseph Giulietti are working with the NTSB on the investigation into the crash. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating Tuesday night's deadly commuter train crash in the suburb of White Plains, New York , that killed six people, including five passengers, and the driver of an Mercedes SUV that collided with the train, and injured at least fourteen others in what authorities say is the deadliest commuter rail accident in the state's history.
