A local resident who embezzled nearly $6 million from his employer was sentenced to six years in prison Wednesday in federal court in White Plains, N.Y. Gregg Pierleoni, 59, had previously pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud. The indictment states Pierleoni moved more than $5.7 million from the operating account of a Westchester based moving company, where he worked as the chief financial officer, into other company accounts and a related entity.
