New Fairfield ges six years in embezzlement case

A local resident who embezzled nearly $6 million from his employer was sentenced to six years in prison Wednesday in federal court in White Plains, N.Y. Gregg Pierleoni , 59, had previously pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud. The indictment states Pierleoni moved more than $5.7 million from the operating account of a Westchester based moving company, where he worked as the chief financial officer, into other company accounts and a related entity.
