Federal charges against Scott Valente, a former stock broker with an office on Wolf Road in Colonie, could come in a matter of weeks, according to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In an April 13 letter to a judge in White Plains, the SEC said it expects the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of New York to reach a resolution on "possible criminal charges" within "the next two weeks."
