WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. A federal judge in White Plains recently sentenced a former Cortlandt resident to 16 life sentences for a string of armed robberies, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Karriem Barrow was sentenced to the 16 life sentences plus two additional 20-year federal prison terms for eight armed robberies that happened in Westchester, Putnam, and the Bronx during a two-month period in 2010, court records show.
