A mother who was convicted of poisoning and killing her 5-year-old son who died in Westchester was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison in State Supreme Court in White Plains on Wednesday, according to Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore. Spears, a former Rockland County resident, checked her son into Nyack Hospital for seizures on January 17 of last year.
