From mid-2000 to mid-2014, unadjusted average domestic itinerary fares fell 43.4 percent at the airport, from $596.87 to $338, according to the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics. That was the third-largest decrease in the country - behind only much smaller facilities in White Plains, New York, and Bellingham, Washington - and came over a period when the average airfares across the country rose by 16.6 percent.
