The League of Women Voters of White Plains is presenting "A Forum on Human Trafficking: Present Day Enslavement in Our Communities" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 at the White Plains Library. Among the speakers will be state Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, an ardent advocate for legislation criminalizing human trafficking and decriminalizing the prosecution and treatment of trafficking victims; Gonzalo Martinez de Vedia of the Human Trafficking Program, Worker Justice Center; Worker Justice Center Carl Boykin, director of human trafficking prevention for the state Division of Criminal Justice Services; and Lauren Herch, director, AntiTrafficking Policy & Advocacy, Sanctuary for Families.
