Verizon crews were working Monday to restore FIOS telephone, internet and Television service to an undermined number of homes knocked out Saturday morning where the City of White Plains is conducting its Saxon Woods Road reconstruction. A knowledgeable source said that a piece of FIOS distribution equipment appeared to have been struck by something causing a splice in the fiber optic cable to separate.
